Columbia Public Safety Emergency Line: (212) 854-5555.

Arrival and Check-in

Check-in will happen from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM in Lerner Auditorium at the Broadway Entrance (next to the campus bookstore). See the campus map at the bottom of this page.

Check-in closes promptly at 8:30 AM, so please be on time. If you arrive after this time, your team will be late to the Power Round, which puts them at a great disadvantage.

What to Bring

We suggest students bring the following items to ICMT:

Scratch paper will be provided for all participants, so please do not bring your own. Calculators and graph paper are prohibited. Protractors, rulers, and compasses are permitted.

Travel and Transportation

We strongly recommend using public transportation. For those who choose to drive, these are the parking decks recommended by the Columbia Visitor Center.

By Train: If traveling by Amtrak, trains arrive at Penn Station (Moynihan Train Hall). From there, take the Uptown 1 train to 116th Street.

By Air: Columbia University is accessible from all three major New York City airports:

Lodging

Teams are responsible for arranging their own travel and lodging. Columbia University has secured discounted rates at a few local hotels.

Due to heavy regulation of short-term rentals in New York City, Airbnb options are limited. For more affordable accommodations, we recommend:

Please note that check-in begins at 7:30 AM at Columbia University.

Activities (4:15 PM)

HRT Puzzle Hunt

Low Library Rotunda

Step into the HRT Puzzle Hunt, where an extraordinary mystery is unfolding: the color orange has vanished from the world. City streets, bustling marketplaces, gourmet kitchens, and dazzling gem shops have all lost a key part of their vibrancy. Everyday objects and lively scenes now appear incomplete, prompting questions from artists, scientists, and the public alike. As an investigator, you'll explore affected businesses, uncover clues hidden in ordinary details, and help restore the world's full spectrum. Your sharp observation and creativity are needed — join us to bring back what has been lost and experience a puzzle hunt unlike any other, proudly hosted by HRT.

Integration Bee Finals

Uris 301

Watch the Top 8 Integrators face off in a tournament-style bracket to be crowned the ICMT Integration Bee Champion! Integrals written by Alex Yang, author of More Unimaginable and Speedy Integration Techniques.

Problem Disputes

Lerner 302

If a student believes that an answer given on the answer key is incorrect, they must submit an appeal in writing in Lerner 302. The deadline to submit appeals is 5 PM. All decisions of the ICMT coordinators are final.
